[モノクロ写真]NY・ブライアントパークの昼下がり | [Black and white photos] early in the afternoon at Bryant Park, NYC

ニューヨーク・マンハッタン島のミッドタウンにあるブライアントパーク。規模は大きくないですが冬にはスケート場があったり、たくさんの椅子とテーブルがあるのでちょっとお茶したり人と会うのにぴったりの場所です。まだまだ寒い日だったのですが久しぶりに立ち寄ったのでモノクロでいくつか写してみました。

Bryant Park is located at Midtown in Manhattan, NYC. It isn't a huge park, but I love it because it's better to see my friends and chat with them thanks to tables and chairs or there's a skate link in winter. On one cold day, I stopped by this park for the first time in a long time. I shot some black and white photos there.

まだ寒い日の平日の昼下がりだったので、場所によっては混んでいなかったのでいい写真が撮れました。 休日になるとここは混雑していて容易に座れないのです。
When I took this photo, it wasn't crowded because it was in the early afternoon on a weekday. That's why, I could took this silent photo. Most people can't easily sit this chairs on weekends because it's crowded.

 都会のど真ん中にある公園なので周りには高層ビルがたくさん。都会の中で静けさを感じられる場であるこの公園がとても好きです。ちなみに、写真右奥はニューヨークの公共図書館の本館。つまり、図書館の裏にブライアントパークがあるのです。
Bryant Park is located in the center of big city, midtown, so it's surrounded by many skyscrapers. I like this park since I can feel silence even though I'm in the big city! By the way, there's a main branch of New York Public Library(NYPL). In other words, Bryant Park is located at the back side of NYPL.

真冬にあったスケートリンクはすでに解体されていて、芝生に変わっていました。平日だったので働く人の様子も撮ってみました。
The skate link had already been dismantled, and there was grass in the place where there had been the skate link. Since the day I shot photos was a weekday, I could capture the workers there.
